Every week we receive hundreds of unsolicited applications from graduates and college leavers wanting to work for the exciting companies we recruit for. To give you the edge on other applicants in any of the industries we deal with you must be able to demonstrate that you are passionate, have the ability to work hard and have been involved in some sort of extra curricular activity. This could be media focussed OR voluntary charity work is always viewed favourably.
The sort of things you could include on your CV are;
- Any unpaid work experience that demonstrates good administrative or organisational skills.
- Memberships to any media based societies at college such as the Entertainments Committee
- If you have done voluntary work experience in a media company or have worked for any other charitable organisation.
Prospective employers want to see that you have used your spare time gainfully, so work experience of any kind during vacations is really important.
