Production Finance Assistant - Media - Central London

A growing Media business has an exciting opportunity for a Production/Project Finance Assistant to come on board on a permanent full time basis based in Central London. Your responsibilities would include the delivery of timely and accurate financial information and support effective cost management of productions on a global scale.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years experience working within a Finance setting with a passion for the Film and Media industry. We are offering a competitive salary and study support. The company are also working hybrid with an expectation of 3 days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of fortnightly project cost reports
  • Assisting with production finance month end reports and journal entries
  • Preparing project client invoices in a timely manner in accordance with their payment schedules
  • Monitoring Accounts Receivable Ledger and Debtor Days
  • Supporting Production teams and other departments with Production Finance queries
  • Assisting with Production cash flow management
  • Assisting with internal and external production audit queries for the UK and France
  • Assisting with R&D Tax Credit processes for the UK and France
  • Contributing to the ever evolving production processes to ensure continuous improvement
  • Awareness of other roles within the team, providing ad hoc finance support as required

Key skills:

  • Ideally has 2+ years experience working within a Finance function
  • Experience with production or project accounting is highly desirable
  • Working towards a professional qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and organised with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Tech savvy with strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Quickbooks and/or Netsuite is beneficial
  • Interest in the Film industry
  • Fluency in French language is desirable but not essential
