Handle Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a fantastic agency, which represents some of the best TV and film writers in the country, to source an experienced Agent Assistant.
We are looking for a candidate who has strong communication skills, a willingness to learn and an ability to work well under pressure. A genuine interest and passion for the entertainment and creative industries will help this person excel in the role!
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting agents with day to day tasks
- Diary management (organising meetings, events, calls etc.)
- Monitoring multiple inboxes and being the first point of contact for queries
- Updating contact databases
- Managing filing systems in office and on a shared drive
- Reading and summarising manuscripts
- Reading and responding to representation queries
- Keeping track of contracts and coordinating signatures
- Basic credit control (invoicing, logging payments, sending remittances)
- Website management and updating
- Dealing with permissions and simple contracts
- Keeping updated of screenwriter schemes and liaising with the clients on these
- Keeping client CVs updated
- Office manager duties including: answering phones, Greeting visitors and setting up the conference room for meetings, handling office supplies, Liaise with service providers (cleaners, IT support, utility companies etc.)
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least one year's experience working in an office
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Strong Administrative skills
- Proficient with Apple Macs, Word and Excel and preferably Quickbooks or similar accounting packages
- Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good record-keeping and good memory
- Social media experience preferable
