We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Director to join a fast-growing brand supporting retail and media initiatives for many of the world's most sophisticated enterprise and challenger brands who are looking to accelerate their growth on Amazon and other key ecommerce platforms.

Role overview

As a Business Development Director within the Digital Sales team you will be responsible for selling our service offerings to some of the world's biggest brands.

Our managed-service solutions ensure brands accelerate their sales on Amazon through optimising their paid advertising and retail presence to drive maximum visibility, conversion, sales and share. The Business Development Director will develop and execute a consultative sales strategy within an assigned territory to drive revenue growth with leading brands. You will work in partnership with the pre-sales and marketing teams to prospect and engage relevant stakeholders within Tier 1 brands to create and develop opportunities across all relevant services and International markets, managing these throughout the sales process until completion.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop a good understanding of the Amazon and Digital landscape and the key opportunities and challenges faced by leading brands
  • Comprehensive understanding of the sales process with the ability to engage senior level executives in strategic meetings to ensure top down alignment regarding strategy and objectives
  • Actively prospect and develop a qualified new business opportunity pipeline
  • Manage complete and complex sales-cycles from initial customer engagement to closed sales
  • Define, execute and own an engagement plan for key prospects
  • Develop innovative ideas on ways to navigate through the ever-changing e-commerce space and grow sales while improving our competitive advantage
  • Manage accurate lead, pipeline and forecast reporting on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and product marketing to create joint demand generation strategies, potential use cases
  • Attend networking events to promote Flywheel solutions and identify potential future clients

Skills, experience & qualifications required

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Sales experience, selling mid-market to enterprise solutions into large companies (CPG companies would be advantageous)
  • Ability to reach and develop relationships with C-Level leadership or senior executives in your respective territory / accounts
  • Highly motivated Hunter mentality
  • Understanding of eCommerce ecosystem landscape and relationships (Desired)
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving & analytical skills
  • Proven negotiation skills with persistence and tenacity
  • Must have expert presentation skills; using data and analytics to develop compelling stories
  • Must be able to leverage an existing network of prospective clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to travel as needed
