Commercial Finance Manager - Media - Central London

A growing business within the Media industry are looking for a Qualified Commercial Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis within the London HQ. As Commercial Finance Manager you will be responsible for reporting, budgeting and planning processes for the business, and provide pro-active financial, commercial, and business advisory support and analysis to senior leaders.

We are looking for a commercially minded candidate with a passion for Finance, someone who is a confident business partner and feels comfortable communicating with both finance and non finance stakeholders. Ideally you will have previous experience within a similar field and are ready to jump into a new challenge where you can add value and continue to grow professionally.

Key responsibilities: (but not limited to)

  • Ownership of the planning cycle; annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Ownership of weekly and monthly financial reporting.
  • Development of reporting to aid business decisions
  • Attend and present at monthly senior management meetings including month end financial and budget meetings
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to teams within and outside the division
  • Commercial analysis and approval of investment cases for new acquisitions
  • Challenge business to be financially efficient
  • Assist in systems improvements to our business intelligence system
  • Prepare the key monthly provision calculations on returns, stock and advances

Key skills:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Prior experience within a commercially focused role
  • Experience in FP&A/Commercial/Business Partnering Role required.
  • A background within the Creative industry would be highly desirable
  • A self-starter, able to take the initiative, identify improvements and challenge the status
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in forming strong working relationships with non-finance professionals
  • Advanced Excel user (e.g. INDEX/MATCH, Conditional formatting etc.) with ability to create templates for non-finance staff
