Communications Manager - Media

Handle are pleased to be working alongside an industry leading and award winning media company, who are proud owners of some the most well known and reputable media brands in the UK.

As a Communications Manager, this role is integral to the success of the business and would involve managing key relationships across trade and commercial press. Thorough experience in media and communications is essential to be considered for this exciting role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating the value of the brand and business to some of the worlds leading brands and agencies
  • Taking complex information and briefs and distilling them into succinct press releases
  • Proactive media relations, pitching news, features and comments
  • Development of outstanding B2B campaigns to build on reputation amongst target audiences
  • Keeping on top of news stories within the technology, commercial and digital teams - ensuring that all teams are aligned on strategy
  • Work alongside c-suite level members of staff, with ability to inform and influence

You Will Have:

  • Communications experience either at a media owner or media agency, handling B2B comms
  • A proactive approach, with a growth mindset, ensuring that you are confident to develop ideas and use initiative
  • Great knowledge of trade press for marketing, media and ad-tech
  • Excellent writing skills
  • The ability to work and pace and spot issues before they arise
  • Experience in planning and reporting on PR
