FINANCE ASSISTANT - MUSIC - LONDON

An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant with a multinational music corporation filled with music makers and lovers. Here you will be apart of an incredible Financial planning team reporting to the Financial planning director. The team here is responsible for managing the financials for the distribution label, monthly statement reporting for third party labels and providing information to Management to make strategic decisions. A successful candidate will be responsible for primarily moving the current royalties reporting system to another in house system. You will also be involved with the reporting of sales to our third party labels, assisting them with queries and providing analysis as required to Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will set up labels on new royalty system, generate statements and undertake parallel runs to compare outputs to current royalty system statements
  • You will document additional development requirements and liaise with relevant team
  • Assist in data owner clean-up and liaise with the necessary teams
  • Undertake training on existing royalties system
  • Help create a training manual of the new system
  • Assist with the preparation of sales files to upload to current system
  • Assist with statement checks and label queries and send out statements as required
  • Review third party sales files and pricing and prepare sales upload files
  • Assist with raising label statement payments and other costs
  • Assist with analysis as required by Management
  • Carry out all other ad-hoc duties as directed by Management.

SKILLS

  • Previous experience in a finance assistant, analyst or royalties role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fantastic time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Have great organisational skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and will be able to work through problems logically
  • Excellent IT skills along with Advanced level Excel (Vlookups and Pivot tables)
  • You have a strong desire to learn and develop your skill set in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess commercial awareness and business insight
  • Previous experience in a media or music company is preferable
