A global-leading Gaming company is looking for a Qualified Finance Director to join their ever- growing team based in Paris, France. To accompany our clients next steps of growth, we need an experienced and passionate Financial Director to drive various exciting initiatives.

This standalone role reports directly into and works very closely with the CEO and gets involved in all financial and operational areas of the company. This role suits someone who can drive value at every level - from strategic decisions to hands-on day to day work of running a company.

Internally, you'll ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly, working closely with production teams to monitor the development of ongoing projects, including live operations of an online game. Externally you'll help negotiate commercial and licensing deals.

Accounting Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for all day-to-day financial transactions, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Payroll.
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and management accounts
  • Prepare French tax returns, work with advisors
  • Own and manage employee options process, reporting, and accounting
  • Development and implementation accounting policies and procedures, including internal controls

Finance Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Leadership to develop a budget/forecast process
  • Develop and maintain financial models, keeping updated for all hiring, direct costs and other elements that are included in the financial forecast
  • Various financial analysis including KPI's on a by game basis, across multiple types of business models
  • Review and plan for game launches including cash and marketing allocations
  • Own all aspects of the operating budget, both day to day and long term
  • Review and run all commercial contracts and deal making processes from a finance and legal perspective engaging with professional advisors as necessary
  • Review and maintain tax credits working with professional advisors

Legal Responsibilities

  • Own the legal responsibilities of the company including IP, Patents, Key Contracts
  • Maintain legal files and electronic database of all contracts
  • Maintain employee personal files and benefits files
  • Assist founders with other various legal matters

The ideal candidate:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent strongly preferred
  • French national, or fully bilingual. Fluent English required, with experience working with English language contracts
