We are currently recruiting for a Part time Health and Safety Coordinator for a company based in Chiswick. They are incredibly flexible about the hours as long as you work 20 hours a week across 3 or 5 days. You will be working alongside the rest of the team to help coordinate and facilitate safe working practices. This is a great opportunity for someone who has perhaps worked within a similar role in Health and Safety before.

The role:

  • Co-ordinate the business's approach to H&S
  • Ensure legislation is followed correctly
  • Create a culture where safe practice is always followed
  • Provide policy direction for the health and safety function
  • Provide health and safety guidance and direction to heads of department across the business
  • Develop, implement and recommend a practical health and safety strategy
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Reduce risk and injury and ensure a safe workplace
  • Develop relationships with a range of external organisations, including insurers, professional networks, health and safety advisers and consultants, and other local government authorities to keep abreast of developments in health and safety practice
  • Review the health and safety management system
  • Conduct audits
  • Coordinate 'Return to Work' process following periods of absence through accidents or illnesses pertaining to work related incidents
  • Monitor and analyse claims and incident reports
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may be required as part of the operations team and/or the overall business

The ideal candidate:

  • Confident decision maker
  • Good communication and coordination abilities
  • Willing to be flexible
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification preferable but not essential
