Interim Financial Accountant needed for a market leading media brand! This is a 6-month fixed term contract, which could well be extended beyond that. Working closely with the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will cover a range of financial accounting functions. They will also get the chance to develop their management accounting and analytical skills too.
Key responsibilities include -
- Preparation of management accounts, providing financial support to department management
- Preparing and managing monthly/quarterly/yearly closing (from preparation of journal entries to analysis of accounting data)
- Preparing for internal/external/statutory audits
- Assist with 3 and 5-year forecasts
- Responsible for managing various intercompany accounts, transactions and reporting.
- Support interim audit & year end processes
- Work with wider finance team to develop a monthly reporting dashboard & KPI's
- Provide financial and business expertise to other ad-hoc projects
Candidate requirements -
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- A minimum of 4-years relevant accounting experience
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills and a pro-active approach to challenges
- Ability to work independently and to work efficiently with cross-functional teams
- Strong Excel skills
