Handle is working with a Global Pharmaceutical company to recruit an experienced Network Engineer.
The client have recently opened a brand new R&D facility and this presents a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor and make a significant contribution to how Networks are implemented and managed within the facility.
The Network Engineer's role is to maintain the stability and integrity of corporate voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
You will be responsible for planning, design, and development LANs and wide area WAN for the business. In addition you will be involved with installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. In addition you will analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems and provide end user training as required.
Tasks
Forecast near and long-term network capacity requirement
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
Create and maintain documentation
Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware
Design, implement, and maintain VOIP phone system
Design, implement, and maintain Audio/Video systems
Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Manage servers, including database, e-mail, printers, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
Experience
Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management Proven experience with VOIP phone systems.
Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.
Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong customer service skills
