One of the largest television production companies is seeking a Royalties assistant to join their finance team.

This company boasts on being built on independence, creative freedom and entrepreneurialism, and they are looking for a hardworking self-sufficient individual to work under the chief executive officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the music and copyright activity, including the administration of the catalogue registrations, copyright agreements and royalty collections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with timely and accurate copyright registrations with sub-publishers and collecting societies across music and AV secondary rights.

  • Working with AV secondary rights royalty process from start to finish.

  • Preparation of royalty statements for allocation and ingestion through our database.

  • Managing conflict resolutions procedures and dealing with other secondary rights queries.

  • Assisting with the internal revenue allocations and statements for the internal accounts

  • Calculating composer pay-aways for soundtrack and master licensing revenue.

  • Preparation and analysis of revenue reports for budgeting and forecasting

  • Implementing the legacy copyright and royalty data between systems

  • Maintaining copyright and royalty databases.

KEY SKILLS

  • Familiar with music databases such as music maestro is beneficial

  • Experience with secondary rights, including registrations and conflict management

  • Confident dealing with financial, copyright and usage data. You must also have the ability to sufficiently summarise for management and financial reports

  • Advance level in excel in beneficial

  • Excellent communication skills

  • String time management and good ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Familiar with UK and international PRO networks and international sub-publishing networks.
