Temporary Sales role - ASAP start

6 - 8 weeks,

£14- £16 per hour

Handle Recruitment is seeking either an event sales professional or someone with B2B sales experience and a passion for dance to join a team selling across the world's biggest dance and performing arts event, which is now in its 15th year in London.

As well as direct selling and account management you will have to opportunity to work on sales strategies and mentor junior members of the team.

As the Sales Development Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Selling stand space, sponsorship, and digital assets to new and existing business, demonstrating excellent phone and face to face skills, delivering high quality proposals and emails as part of the sales process; and meeting all sales targets and agreed KPIs.
  • Managing your own pipeline, identifying prospects, actively selling, and closing business. You will communicate pledges and forecasts with accuracy and have a good understanding of the performance of the team you work with. You will communicate and report on sales achievements within your team and others with the business.
  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities and attending competitor shows to sell to both new and existing business.
  • Ownership of your client debt and liaison with the finance team to manage and resolve any issues across your teams.
  • Proactively gaining insight from the marketing team on what marketing activity is happening to help improve and develop the sales pitch.
  • Using and managing the CRM system, ensuring you use it for all customer contact, understanding client history and ensuring it is always up to date. You will use this to report on sales.
  • Supporting the Sales Manager to develop the sales strategy and sales plans with a compelling exhibitor proposition. You will identify ways to improve sales pace through market knowledge and strong prospecting skills.
  • Playing an active role in supporting junior staff on your team, using your experience to share best practise, knowledge, and where needed support them with challenges.
