Job Description

Handle are proud to be representing a leading player in the Classical Music world in their search for an Interim Finance Manager. Working on an 18 month fixed term contract the finance manager will act as the main point of contact regarding all management accounting issues and reporting to the Chief Financial officer.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to

Artist Management

  • Issuing invoices on behalf of artists for fee payments
  • Chasing fees and tax certificates from promoters, on behalf of artists
  • Issuing commission invoices to artists
  • Sending monthly statements to artists and chasing for payment
  • Answering general artist queries regarding fee payments
  • Making reduced tax applications to HMRC on behalf of foreign artists performing in the UK

Tours & Projects

  • Paying supplier invoices and issuing sales invoices related to tours
  • Posting and reconciling multiple sterling and currency bank accounts
  • Notifying the Tours department of incoming fees and assisting with credit control
  • Chasing foreign withholding tax certificates
  • Reconciling tour budgets and finalising tour accounting
  • Preparing Income, Expenditure and cash flow summaries for monthly reporting

The successful candidate will:

  • Be qualified to degree level
  • Be highly numerate and extremely well-organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Be very computer literate, particularly with accounting software and Excel
  • Demonstrate they are a team player, able to multi-task, prioritise efficiently and remain calm under pressure
  • Display a clarity and quickness of mind and possess excellent communication skills
  • Have extensive experience in an accounts department
