Job Description

An excellent opportunity for an Accounts assistant has just risen with a expanding Music and Entertainments Business in London: Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, month end procedures, as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable for the company:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash and sales reports
  • Completing weekly/monthly bank reconciliations from bank statements
  • Month end procedures; Credit card and cash collection reconciliations, petty cash journals, advertising recharges
  • Completing monthly sales reconciliations
  • Carrying out internal audits and reporting this information to management
  • Other Ad-Hoc duties

Accounts Payable:

  • Inputting invoices onto Oracle
  • Dealing with weekly and monthly payment batches
  • Complete monthly creditor reconciliations from supplier statements

Accounts Receivable:

  • Monthly debtors to be compiled
  • Make sure that debtors responses are received and action taken
  • Input sales invoices and receipts onto Oracle and reconcile to payments received

Skills / Experience:

  • An interest in Music
  • Good working knowledge of debits and credits
  • Computer Literacy - Excel, Outlook
  • Experience using Oracle (advantageous)
  • A year's experience in a busy financial environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong administration & time management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative & self-motivation to meet challenging deadlines
  • Detailed and thorough approach
  • Team Player
