Job Description

Handle Recruitment is proud to present an exciting opportunity for an Artist Relations and Development Manager to join a leading independent music charity in the UK.

As a charity, they support thousands of people through their centres and by working in partnership with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals. They provide a specialist use of music that aims to facilitate physical and emotional wellbeing, and to promote the development and retention of key communication skills.

As Artist Relations and Development Manager you will implement and lead the strategy that will ensure the company establishes and maintains excellent relationships and on-going commitment with and from celebrities and artists, as well as with key influencers within the music industry. You will collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and demonstrate innovative thinking when building celebrity and industry relationships that enhance public awareness and income for the charity.

Working within the fundraising and communications team, responsibilities would include identifying, recruiting and managing artists and celebrities to support the charity, as well as creating, building and maintaining strong relationships with influencers within the music industry- managers, agents, labels, publicists, promoters and other key decision makers.

To be successful in this position candidates must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal and public relations skills, along with the natural ability to build relationships. It is essential candidates have a genuine love for music and have had experience working within the music industry.

It is also vital that the post holder has empathy for the nature of the work they do and is motivated by their cause; which is to transform lives through music.

Based out of the newly refurbished London Headquarters in North London, featuring beautiful modern music rooms, this is a truly inspiring work space which would really suit someone looking to work in a non-traditional charity environment.

If your experience matches the requirements above and you would like to join this amazing charity in the position of the Artist Relations and Development Manager please contact Alice Scott.
