Job Description

A great position with a successful Broadcast News Company based in West London has come up, they are looking for an Assistant Accountant to help support the team and uphold quality accounting standards within a fast paced environment. The role offers a mixture of both hands on, transactional accounting duties and higher level accounting, with responsibilities including budget management, month end close and assisting with management accounts preparation.

The Role

  • Tracking and analysing the available spend with the budget and communicating to stakeholders
  • Assist with the preparation of company Management Accounts
  • Assisting with month end and year end close
  • Ownership of the processing for all supplier invoices and expenses
  • Approval and reconciliations of Accounts Payable invoices
  • Reconciling credit card transactions and processing expenses
  • Providing insight and innovation for the success of the finance function

The Candidate

  • Previous experience working within Finance division and an understanding of the demands
  • An interest in Broadcast News Media is highly desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable working to strict external deadlines and working under time constraints
  • Highly numerical with a strong attention to detail
  • University qualified or working towards an accounting accreditation
  • Strong users of MS Office suites with working knowledge of excel to intermediate level
