One of the UK's leading Retail Companies are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing team. Based in Central London this is a 12 month fixed term contract where you will report directly to the Management Accountant and have the opportunity to gain exposure to month end duties.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Journal posting
- Accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting in preparation of VAT returns
- Setting up new suppliers
- Ad hoc duties
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, multi-currency environment with ideally 1-2 years' experience, preferably within retail. You will be able to prioritise and meet deadlines, have strong communication skills and a proactive approach to your position. Degree level or equivalent and currently studying towards ACCA/ CIMA qualification would be desirable but is not essential to the role.
