We are looking for an Audio-Visual Engineer to join a leading sports brand based in North London and help provide support and guidance for every aspect of their growing AV systems.
Working for an instantly recognisable international sporting brand, you will provide AV support for a demanding user base in an innovative, forward thinking environment. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about audio-visual technology and thrives on providing great customer service to develop their career and gain exposure to the latest and greatest technologies.
The core focus of this role will be to provide support for everything to do with AV systems and users. You will need to react quickly to diagnose issues and provide a timely resolution. You will also need to work proactively to ensure equipment is working, venues are set up and relevant parties are kept up to date with issues. This will mean maintaining an accurate inventory of AV hardware, software and firmware, monitoring system performance, and providing training for system users.
This is a rapidly evolving company that is looking to fully embrace technology, so you will have an opportunity to work with a broad range of different products. The AV equipment is fully integrated with the broader IT network, so you will need a solid knowledge of networking and general IT in addition to your AV experience. You will be working in a multi-site environment, with a mix of internal and external users, so will need to manage your workload and priorities accordingly. You will need great communication skills, the ability to build strong working relationships, and excellent attention to detail.
To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record of experience in an Audio-Visual Support role or similar, ideally working in a multi-site environment. In addition, we are looking for the following;
- Good knowledge of high end audio visual products (Crestron Control, AMX, RTI etc).
- Knowledge of Lutron lighting control, Polycom, Smartboards, IPTV, digital signage and Microsoft Skype for Business.
- A firm understanding of network protocols RS232 and RS485.
- A good understanding of video conferencing, audio conferencing and VOIP telephony infrastructure.
- Exposure to general IT support problems and technologies.
- Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to diagnose faults in hardware and software.
Due to the location and the fact you will be working across multiple sites, candidates with a valid UK driving license would be preferred. In addition, some shift based work will be involved, so you must be prepared to be flexible with your working pattern.
This is a great opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic person to develop their career in AV support in an amazing work environment. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact Will Fraser at Handle Recruitment for more information.
