Commercial Finance Analyst - Creative Agency - London
I am looking for a newly qualified Commercial Finance Analyst/Project Accountant for a growing Creative Agency based in Central London. This role is ideal for a candidate who is looking for a commercial role within a fast paced, vibrant agency who are going through an exciting time of development and growth.
Key Responsibilities::
- Project pricing / costing models
- Mapping project revenue across project life - ensuring accurate revenue recognition
- Checking projects are tracking to budget through the life of project
- Working with Consultants to reconcile project spend against budget and report on variances
- Close down projects timely
- Timesheet analysis
- Net profitability analysis of projects
- Prepare end of month revenue and WIP reconciliation and post month end journals:
- Accrued and deferred revenue journals
- WIP journals
- Prepare / assist in preparation of quarterly VAT return and EC VAT Sales list
- Oversee Accounts Receivable function - ensure POs are chased regularly, billing is done timely and correctly, debtors pay promptly - weekly reporting to Financial Controller on AR KPIs
- Key integration involvement for project accounting
- Other reporting and analysis as required
- Act as cover for the Finance Assistant
Key Skills:
- Newly qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant or finalist level
- Previous experience within Analyst or Project Accounting role
- A background within Media/Creative Agency is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi task and prioritise work load working to deadlines
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Discreet office manners
- Commercially aware
