Handle are currently recruiting a Commercial/IP Lawyer to cover maternity within the legal team of an award winning, world class integrated communication agency.
The contract will start around mid-November to allow for a hand-over, and last for a period of c. 12 months.
The Legal Counsel will assist the General Counsel in supporting all divisions across the business, including a creative advertising agency, content production, and a digital agency.
Responsibilities will include reviewing and providing a legal risk assessment from a CAP and BCAP compliance perspective; assisting with the management of any ASA complaints; drafting and negotiating client and supplier agreements (including creative services agreements, production contracts, software licences and app development agreements, talent contracts, music licenses, IP licenses and NDAs); advising on key commercial issues arising in respect of advertising clearance and production; managing external counsel; training for non-legal staff; managing (with the DPO) data protection issues; and maintaining standard form documentation and processes - amongst others.

You should have c.2yrs+ PQE*, ideally having trained with a media law firm and/or have experience in media/advertising law, with demonstrable commercial contract drafting and negotiating experience.
