Data Transformation and SQL Server Engineer
Our client, based in the City of London, has developed a piece of software for the arts community.
They are currently looking for a SQL server specialist to head up database administration and migration across the business. This will involve the live migration of millions of ticket sales (past and future), customer records, membership schemes and fundraising activities from legacy systems. Having built a reputation for making the migration process as smooth as possible for users, they are lookign to maintain this performance.
Joining the tech ops team, you will be responsible for how data is extracted from each legacy team as well as being part of the team who maintain the SQL server infrastructure which hosts a large number of clients, while mainitaning 99% uptime.
The role will be a 50/50 split of data migration/transformation and SQL server engineering.
This is a permanent opportunity within a rapidly growing outfit with offices in London, Manchester and the US.
Salary is negotiable.
Key experience required
Minimum 2 years Database Admin (Microsoft SQL Server)
Experience migrating data between different systems, platforms and schemas
Ability to quickly understand and translate between different implementations and concepts
Cross team, client facing projects with tight deadlines
Performance tuning SQL server databases and trouble shooting issues
Excellent SQL server skills
Development experience with C# or other object oriented language
Scripting and automation (Powershell)
Knowledge of DevOps Methodologies
Experience in SaaS environments
