Job Description

The primary function of the role is to provide critical market intelligence, analysis and strategic support to support the growth of digital. The role is Director level, reflecting substantial experience in international digital research and analytics.

This individual will work closely with the broadcaster's key decision makers as part of a larger research team.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Serve as head of research for digital, managing a 2-person team
* Supervise regular performance reporting for the international digital transactional business, covering all types of content and including broad international reports and territory focuses
* Oversee regular performance reporting for branded subscription video-on-demand services globally
* Manage collation of performance data and maintain reporting tools, working with external agencies where appropriate
* Conduct performance analysis, to support both tactical and strategic initiatives
* Evaluate the competitive landscape, digital and consumer trends, and communicate insights to the business
* Represent the company in industry tracking initiatives, supply data where appropriate, and communicate results
* Commission qualitative and quantitative studies to maximise value to the digital business
* Present analysis and insights to senior management
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
* Provide team leadership, with bottom line responsibilities managing people, projects and internal clients
* Trouble-shoot data and software issues
* Support free and pay TV business and perform other duties as required

Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in digital, technology, media or entertainment research
* Deep understanding of the evolving digital landscape
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to distil and communicate key findings from large data sets in an engaging way
* Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
* High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including knowledge of advanced functions
* Experience with data sources such as Conviva, Omniture, Salesforce Wave and data warehouse solutions preferred
* Experience with Tableau or similar data visualisation tools desirable but not essential
