Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to head up the financial reporting function of a household name in global entertainment during what is a sustained period of growth and success. Based out of their London offices, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and reporting of monthly consolidated financial statements to global executives. You'll also manage a team that is responsible for controlling and developing all internal controls policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

-Prepare accurate and timely monthly consolidated financial statements in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and generally accepted accounting principles (both UK and US GAAP).

-Analyse fluctuations in monthly operating results.

-Maintain documentation of company-wide accounting policies and procedures.

-Assist in the design and execution of effective controls to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied to all company transactions.

-Ensure successful completion of annual financial statement audit by functioning as a key contact with external auditors.

-Assist in the preparation and review of annual audited financial statements and footnote disclosures.

-Review, assess and document accounting and financial reporting implications of complex transactions.

-Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary.

Skills Required

-Qualified ACA (or equivalent), ideally with relevant post qualified experience

-Demonstrable audit and controls experience ideally within fast paced environment

-Excellent understanding of IFRS / UK GAAP / US GAAP

-Proactive and able to show initiative to constantly improve finance processes

-Proven ability to motivate and develop direct reports
