Job Description

Handle Recruitment is working with a global asset management company to find an experienced, innovative and highly creative Events Manager for one of their multi award-winning commercial developments in London. You will be responsible for delivering a unique and varied, year-round Sports and Events programme for up to 12,000 employees. This programme is central to developing and maintaining the strong sense of community across the development. From adrenaline-fuelled life size table football, to interesting speakers, to cultural events, to food markets; it offers something for everyone...

Key features will include:

  • Designing and delivering an annual sports and events programme within a budget of £250,000
  • Providing opportunities which support the overall brand mission of learning and personal development, networking opportunities, increased well-being and generating excitement with enough impact to drive PR and social media traffic
  • Assisting Companies with their CSR agendas through events which provide volunteering and 'give-back' opportunities whilst protecting the brand
  • Creating world firsts and events which foster park-wide pride
  • Coordinating and running all aspects of Event operations
  • Recruiting and managing a seasonal Sports Coordinator to head up the Sports Programme
  • Managing the procurement, set-up and storage of events equipment
  • Procuring and managing event suppliers
  • Working alongside Health and Safety Consultant to ensure best practice is followed
  • Managing events administration including financial reporting, health and safety documentation, board reports and presentation to stakeholders
  • Working with the operations team and service partners to provide the most effective operational support for each event
  • Building relationships with local businesses and sports clubs
  • Working alongside the Head of Brand to generate PR opportunities
  • Managing the events budget effectively in order to maximise its effectiveness
  • Generating and managing sponsorship agreements (cash sponsorship and product sponsorship) which support and add value to the programme
  • Collaborating with the brand team to support all brand programmes

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of running mid to large scale experiential and/ or mass participation events
  • A dynamic, hands-on and proactive approach with excellent organisation skills
  • A strong sense of brand and marketing
