Job Description

Handle Recruitment is working with one of the world's leading music companies, to source a Film Co-ordinator to join their London team.

Reporting to the Production and Digital Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordinating filming work (and editing work where applicable) for tour videography, interviews/press events, behind the scenes and video messages
  • Co-ordinating post production, quality control, menus, DVD authoring, delivery of masters to label, checking test discs
  • Assist the touring team with film elements, including screen material and live broadcasts
  • Arranging delivery of film material for approval - converting files for iPad, assisting with Dropbox, preparing DVDs/Blu-rays and edits
  • Creating online content and preparing files for online use - transcoding and making edits/cut-downs for social networks, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • Other editing work (using Adobe Creative Suite and other software) generally as required by the digital/production teams
  • Maintaining both physical and digital film libraries (archive)
  • Ingesting films into the digital library with full metadata and accompanying paperwork
  • Creating transcripts and cue sheets
  • Digitisation of film material - arranging digitisation for projects and requests when required, continuing the in-house digitisation of Digibeta, Beta, MiniDV & VHS tapes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Degree or equivalent qualification in a course relating to film and/or media studies
  • Strong experience in project coordination or management
  • An excellent understanding of Adobe suite and other film editing software, with a solid focus on digitisation
  • The ability to work calmly in a busy office environment and a willingness to occasionally work out of hours as and when required
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks and projects
