Finance Analyst - TV

Expanding TV group with plans for exciting new ventures are looking for a qualified Finance Analyst to assist the Group FD.

The role will involve a significant level of liaison with all the Group Companies and will be focused on financial planning and analysis. The key responsibilities will include (but will be in no way limited to);

  • Consolidation, preparation, and development of the monthly rolling forecast
  • Consolidation and reconciliation of Reforecasts, Budgets, and Long Range Plans, on group reporting system
  • Detailed review and analysis against prior forecast / year of revenues, gross profits, and overheads to help inform management discussions and decisions
  • Regular communication with Operating Companies Finance Directors and Controllers to ensure any variances to forecast / trends are picked up at the earliest stage
  • Consolidation and analysis of the groups forecast cash position, ensuring good working capital principles and making sure cash pool balances are utilised for maximum liquidity
  • Ownership and management of the weekly cash flow forecast model
  • Net working capital modelling and management of the bank covenant model
  • Assist Group Portfolio Manager / finance team in preparation of analysis and ad hoc reports based upon needs of CFO & COO
  • Maintain accurate and detailed databases of group P&L's and the group data pack
  • Financial modelling, identifying and developing systems and controls to improve quality of forecast management information
  • Assist in creating timely presentations to the board and our bank facility providers

The successful candidate must have an appetite for responsibility and be able to work autonomously. They must be/have;

  • A qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with Senior Management
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience of IFRS / US GAAP preferable
  • A background in the media (especially TV production) or a passion for the creative industries
