Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a growing and inspiring marketing company in central London! If you are passionate about the marketing and the social networking space and are looking for your next accounts assistant role then get in touch!

You will be working closely with the Fiance Manager, assisting with all aspects of the business. You will be responsible for the day to day accounting, bookkeeping and reconciliation for the company.


  • Year-end preparation of accounts
  • Assisting with month-end management reports
  • Experience with Withholding Tax
  • Experience with Companies House
  • Experience dealing with HMRC, and have confidence with UK tax legislation


  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly EC Sales Lists
  • Understanding UK VAT legislation


  • Raising sales invoices for all entities
  • Credit control as well as being main point of contact with both customers and suppliers for all entities
  • Expenses: monitor and process staff expenses
  • Processing of all purchase invoices
  • Raising and monitoring of purchase orders
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register
  • Reconciliation of all intercompany transactions


  • Regular reconciliation for several accounts (including foreign currency accounts)
  • Weekly payment runs and setting up new suppliers
  • Main point of contact for bank communications

  • Confident with basic accounting principles
  • An advanced Excel user
  • Experienced with Sage 50 Accounts
  • Conscientious with a strong attention to detail
  • A self-starter, who can manage own workload
  • Organised, and can take ownership of ad hoc administrative responsibilities
  • Personable with a professional approach, and hardworking
