We are looking for a First Line Technical Support Assistant to work for a global media company, based in West London, on a three month contract.
The role will involve working as part of a team to be the first point of contact for any technical queries, and you will need to investigate issues and either resolve or escalate as appropriate. This is a great opportunity to work for a hugely successful, forward thinking company and play an important role in providing first class technical support for customers.
The core focus of the role will be to provide first line technical support, which will mean responding to phone calls and emails, and working to resolve issues as swiftly and effectively as possible. This will mean using your troubleshooting skills along with your technical knowledge to investigate problems. This will require a solid grounding in common infrastructure technologies, along with the ability to pick up bespoke products quickly.
In addition to your technical skills, this role will require a strong customer service focus. You will be expected to build strong working relationships with users, and will need to be proactive in your approach. This is a fast paced environment, so you will need to work quickly and efficiently, and keep people updated at all times.
To be considered for this role you will need proven experience in a technical support role, ideally in a media environment or similar. You will need to be able to demonstrate knowledge of the following technologies;
- Windows operating systems
- Networks, TCP/IP, WAN and proxy servers
- Digital services on tablets
- Ideally, Linux, web servers, apache, IIS
In addition, you will have some exposure to a help desk / service desk environment. You will need the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, along with a proactive approach and first class communication and customers service skills.
