Job Description

Fantastic opportunity to join this leading broadcaster where you will be responsible for managing their VOD services with existing and emerging UK platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the profit and loss profile of each VOD service in line with annual commercial forecasts
* Manage the launch of new services/products and service/product refreshes in line with the agreed product roadmap
* Own the commercial vision/plans for individual VOD services
* Manage organisational relationships and coordinate the associated roadmaps/strategies
* Ensure effective delivery of the product roadmap
* Drive continual product improvement through a thorough understanding of commercial environment, product usage and customer insight
* Own rights supply requirements and ensure the communication and effective delivery to these requirements
* Along with Commercial Director, represent the company in discussions with major platform customers (Sky, Virgin, Freeview Play) and proactively identify and pursue opportunities to develop these commercial relationships to further growth
* Represent in discussions with emerging platforms (e.g consoles, OTT set top boxes, consumer electronics manufacturers) and proactively identify and pursue opportunities to develop these commercial relationships to furthergrowth
* Analyse performance and help inform forecasting through subscriber reports, market data, revenue trending and platform intelligence
* Recommend new and alternative distribution opportunities based on commercial, financial and strategic rationales
* Collaborate with channel teams to develop new digital revenue initiatives
* Work closely with distribution platforms and partners (inc. Apple, YouView, XBOX, BBCW) to maximise product exposure and performance
* Lead quarterly roadmap refresheswith key internal stakeholders and offer a strategic and analytical perspective of areas for improvement and growth


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Strong ability to develop compelling commercial propositions, based on a deep understanding of consumer trends and competitive market dynamics
* Numerate/ commercial - ability to build holistic business plans and to deliver high-profile KPIs and revenue targets
* Ability to develop and execute multi-faceted commercial plans across free and paid product sets to deliver high profile KPIs and revenue targets
* Ability to work effectively in highly collaborative environment, including with Digital Content, Digital Delivery, Digital Advertising, Network Marketing, Legal, Finance and VOD Editorial
* Takes responsibility and initiative for actions, projects and people
* Project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive projects
* Excellent attention to detail
* A genuine passion for TV
