Handle Recruitment are working with a global creative agency based in Central London to find an experienced Facilities Manager to join their team.
The agency: A leader in integrated communications, the agency have a global remit working with a number of well-known household brands. Having moved to new offices last year, the building now houses around 400 people, and therefore this role demands an experienced facilities manager who can take responsibility for the upkeep and delivery of services, Reporting directly into their MD and Finance Director
The role: The facilities manager will be responsible for a team of 6 within the facilities and reception functions as well as key outsourced contracts. On top of this, duties will include:
- Managing and maintaining office space and internal relocations
- Managing facilities services and maintenance contracts
- Business point of contact for the landlord and building management team
- Health & safety issues with added environmental responsibilities
- Managing all facilities related and non-IT capital expenditure budgets
- Managing relevant supplier relationships and procurement process
The candidate: Ideally University or professionally qualified (IOSH, NEBOSH etc.) The ideal candidate will be a seasoned facilities professional who is capable of hitting the ground running and bringing new ideas to the table in terms of system and process. People Management is a key part of the role, so someone who has managed a team before is essential, and the candidate must truly enjoy mentoring and developing others. Experience of planning and rolling out a disaster emergency plan would also be hugely beneficial, as this will be the first key project the successful candidate is tasked with.
