Handle are working with an incredible theatre/arts company who are looking for a strong Head of HR with a passion for their industry to come on board ahead of growth plans for the next few years.
We are looking for an ambitious HR Manager ready to shape and develop the organisation through a period of exciting transformation.
You will ideally come from a creative background within the arts/theatre/not for profit sector and be looking to work in a smaller company where you will be at the heart of the business. The ideal candidate will be very autonomous, but be able to collaborate well with senior leadership teams and have a keen eye for managing budgets and driving key projects and initiatives.
This is a broad generalist HR position so having experience managing the full HR remit is essential. The culture is progressive and holistic, with well-being and development being at the centre of the company values
Reporting into the senior leadership team, having your finger on the pulse at all times, as well as the ability to establish strong relationships across the business with a variety of functions will be the key to success in this role. Knowing how to adapt your HR approach for different client groups will be extremely important as you will support not only the corporate head office functions but also some extremely creative client groups with very different ways of working.
- Quality: To manage and enhance to the business environment by working closely with the senior management team to develop policies and procedures in support of the operational strategy.
- Manage and develop the HR function- Provide advice and guidance to line managers, coordinate all ER issues, partner with senior leaders to develop L&D training programmes, coordinate and improve all aspects of recruitment, be the contract manager for all supplier contracts and be visible throughout the business.
- Innovation: Develop an innovative strategy, that reflects the evolving nature of the company and one that will support the future growth plans. Foster and grow links with likeminded and relevant institutions to develop collaborations.
- Facilities management- Maintain and enhance the working environment, (engagement, wellbeing, social events, culture projects etc.), and troubleshoot operational issues.
