One of the world's leading Media & Entertainment groups seek a Content Compliance Counsel to join their rapidly evolving business. You'll be part of a fantastic legal team, but will also be fully integrated with your primary stakeholders - so it's very much a business-facing role.
You can expect to be advising programming and editorial teams on programming and pre-clearing their content; advising on Ofcom, CAP and BCAP Codes; and running training programmes - to name just a few of your responsibilities.
You'll have demonstrable experience advising on the law and regulations affecting editorial content including defamation, privacy, copyright, data protection and reporting restrictions for news, entertainment and current affairs output; have advised on all aspects of Ofcom Codes; be familiar with competition and advertising law, and commercial integrations; and have experience of managing complaints, investigations and information requests etc.. Ideally, you'll have c.5yrs+ PQE* and will have private practice training with a reputable, media-related firm.
