Job Description
One of the world's leading Media & Entertainment groups seek a commercial lawyer to join their multi-media and entertainment business on a maternity cover contract starting in or around March '20. You'll be part of a fantastic legal team, be managing a sub-team, and will be fully integrated with your primary stakeholders - so it's very much a business-facing role.
You'll be drafting, negotiating and advising (up to board level) on a range of media and entertainment related commercial contracts (sponsorship, talent, events, digital distribution etc.); help manage the company's IP portfolio & brand strategy, and support on its protection and exploitation; and advising in respect of clearances relating to music rights - to name just a few of your responsibilities.
You'll have demonstrable contract, commercial, and IP law experience; experience of managing an IP portfolio and advising a business in respect of brand strategy; have a sound understanding of music rights; and c.6yrs+ PQE* with, ideally, private practice training with a reputable, media-related firm.
If you thrive under commercial pressure in an environment where no two days are the same, then this might be the ideal role for you.
*NB: PQE levels are offered as a guide only. Our client will accept applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
Handle actively welcomes applicants from under-represented backgrounds
