Job Description

Handle Recruitment is working with a global asset management company to find an experienced Head of Marketing and Communications for one of their award-winning London developments. You will be responsible for directing the brand and its service partners to maintain high standards of guest service and sustainability through all marketing and communications channels.

Key features will include:

External Communications, Brand and PR:

  • Creating and directing communications strategy
  • Developing and maintaining a distinctive and engaging brand proposition, including visual identity and tone of voice
  • Creating, proofing and editing content across a range of communications mediums
  • Using insight to evolve and refresh brand programmes and services
  • Building brand awareness and effectively promoting the organisation, both to the onsite audience and externally through a 360-degree approach
  • Seeking opportunities to advance the brand through new technologies
  • Directing service partners to deliver the brand consistently and effectively
  • Responding to and fielding PR requests; working closely with external PR agency and internal Leasing Team to generate press opportunities and coverage
  • Acting as a spokesperson; chairing and facilitating relevant forums and meetings
  • Hosting marketing visits at a senior level as the 'face of the brand'
  • Achieving external recognition through national and international awards
  • Developing and managing strong relationships with key partners and agencies
  • Measuring the success of the brand and reporting on this regularly


  • Developing and managing sustainability strategy
  • Overseeing CSR/sustainability programmes
  • Creating engaging sustainability communications campaigns
  • Working with the Operations Team to set and monitor service partners' CSR/sustainability objectives
  • Supporting the CSR/sustainability initiatives of Guest companies


  • Inspiring, leading and supporting the Brand department consisting of 3 direct reports
  • Fostering a collaborative, fun and respectful working environment
  • Working closely with the Events team to support the annual events programme
  • Providing brand, communications and marketing guidance across all departments
  • Managing the front of house service partner contract, championing guest service and shaping the customer journey

Person Specification:


  • Experienced marcomms professional with a strong customer focus - able to add powerful insight and strategic planning skills to the team through lateral thinking
  • Natural communicator; able to present and convey information to a range of audiences
  • Confident and engaging presentation skills
  • Strong written English - excellent grasp of grammar, attention to detail and experience writing a range of content
  • Confident leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Ability to represent the organisation at a senior level
  • Good level of experience in people management roles
  • Previous responsibility for budget management
  • Proven track record in creating successful communications campaigns


  • CIM or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in delivering sustainability initiatives
  • Previous experience in the hospitality sector
  • Commercial awareness of real estate/property management
