Fantastic opportunity to join this leading pan-African broadcaster who are also launching channels internationally.

You will be responsible for devising, developing and implementing measurable B2C and B2B marketing strategies to increase brand and content awareness. We are looking for a real self-starter, someone who can slot into a hugely dynamic and fast paced business. They can shape a high performing role from scratch and pro-actively drive progress against key initiatives and priority areas in a highly active and vibrant marketplace.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive international television and brand marketing communications experience, ideally with experience in the pan-African market.
  • You are able to demonstrate a track record of success in developing high-impact, highly creative consumer strategies and marketing campaigns across traditional, digital, brand marketing, and direct to consumer performance based marketing.
  • You are experienced in managing the pressures and challenges that come with building brand awareness, premium online growth and conversion pipeline in a fast paced, high growth and demanding environment.
  • You will lead the development and execution of the strategic marketing plan and go-to-market initiatives that will drive subscriber growth, product marketing, community, campaigns, events, digital marketing, and public relations stunts.
  • Ability to write creative briefs with clear KPI's and measurement criteria and coordinate production and delivery of all assets. Ability to allocate resources and monitor time control per project.
  • Have both agency side and client side experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • You'll have an understanding of short, medium and longer term production requirements and how to schedule projects around that.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic support and creative recommendations for the development, execution of a comprehensive digital / traditional / social media / on air / PR Events marketing strategy, and devise immersive fully integrated campaigns.
  • Working closely with department heads, Distribution, Programming and Scheduling, Product, Analytics, to devise locally orientated marketing campaigns and most effective promotion and marketing of content.
  • You will lead the development and execution of the strategic marketing plan and go-to-market initiatives that will drive subscriber growth, product marketing, community, campaigns, events, digital marketing, and public relations stunts.
  • Working in a highly analytical environment you will have a wide range of responsibilities including bridging the path between product development, analysis, digital marketing and funnel attribution towards sales growth and subscription uptake
  • Developing, executing and measuring innovative and engaging B2B and B2C propositions, taking them from ideation through to delivery.
  • Developing, executing and measuring profitable traditional and digital marketing strategies that increase reach, engagement and sales performance across key products, services and markets.
  • To analyse results and drive future thinking to further audience engagement and conversions rates.
  • Assist in the build of a strategic digital creative marketing framework that brings cohesion to the brand, creative outputs and ensuring the business is portrayed in line with our brand position and values across all touch points.
  • The role oversees all project planning, ensures timely completion, delivery, client sign off and quality control of all creative deliverables.
  • To 'jump in' as necessary during product and channel launches and do what is necessary to assist the teams in getting the assets delivered.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience of working across all traditional and digital channels including TV, product development and launches, all digital social media channels including YouTube and email marketing.
  • Excellent hands on experience in a B2C and B2B marketing capacity.
  • Content creation and exceptional copywriting ability.
  • Exceptional presentation creation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and team management experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience in all areas, including live-action commercial shoots, editing, and graphics and events planning.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams in a multi-location, multi brand environment.
  • Strong analytical abilities with ability to facilitate effective marketing planning from programming, product and new business briefs.
