Job Description

One of the UK's fastest growing digital entertainment platforms is seeking a sales and promotions specialist to drive the monetisation of its digital audio, video and social media content.

This is no ordinary brand and no ordinary role; they are looking for a very special person to join them at an exciting, but critical, time in their development. The appointed candidate will enjoy an unrivalled opportunity to shape the revenue strategy and deliver income through exciting S&P initiatives.

The successful candidate will help refine and deliver the commercial strategy to fully monetise their content through creative sponsorship and promotional campaigns. They are looking to appoint a self-starting sales and marketing professional who is experienced in S&P and/or selling to PR agencies in the digital space.

The specific task is to deliver revenue by through:
* Sale of programming sponsorship and promotions
* Sales of product placement and brand partnerships
* Sale of branded content through social media campaigns
* Experiential event sponsorship (e.g. music and comedy festivals)
* Identification and sale of other concepts that fit with the brand

From a standing start, your primary responsibility will be to identify and approach potential brand partners and sponsors and close deals. Therefore, you will be expected to have a good set of contacts and ready to leverage existing relationships. They are looking for a candidate who has hands-on sales skills from the outset, but who also has the vision and leadership to scale a department as revenue increases.

You will be currently working in sales in the digital/online sector, ideally selling around content. You will be expected to demonstrate past successes in selling brands into online content. Experience working in sponsorship and promotions is expected, with good connections into media/PR agencies and/or direct brands.

You'll be adept at getting yourself in front of the right people to pitch a creative, mixed-media, digital campaigns. You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of monetising digital campaigns and social media reach; you will be especially articulate in this field. An awareness of celebrities, social media influencers and a knowledge of popular culture will be essential.
