A ground-breaking music technology business is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer on a six month contract basis to join their team in London and play a key role in supporting their user base.
Working as part of a small but talented IT support team, you will be expected to deliver a high standard of technical support to a diverse user base in an ever evolving environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company at the forefront of the music industry, and become an integral part of the team responsible for delivering a smooth and efficient IT service across the business.
The main focus of this role will be to provide first and second line support to the European user base, while also helping to support other international offices from time to time. You will be dealing with a diverse range of issues via email, over the phone and face to face, and will need to troubleshoot problems and find solutions, all the while keeping the user informed and updated. You will need to use your common sense and technical know-how to manage and prioritise your workload. You will also be expected to work effectively with people of varying levels of seniority and technical ability, so very strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record of commercial experience in an IT Support / Service Desk role, ideally with a company in the media / entertainment sector. In addition, we are looking for the following;
- A strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, and Active Directory
- Experience working with Office 365
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, phones and tablets
- Exposure to video conferencing software (Zoom / Skype or similar), and ideally some form of single sign-on product (eg Okta)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
In addition, any experience working with virtualisation technologies would be highly beneficial. You will also need excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, the ability to manage your time and work on multiple projects simultaneously, and first class communication skills. Breadth of experience, a logical approach to problem solving and the ability to take ownership of issues through to a successful resolution is what we're looking for here.
