An iconic entertainment brand based in West London is looking for an IT Support Analyst to manage all aspects of technology support for the London office.
Working in a busy, vibrant environment where no two days are ever the same, this position will be integral in ensuring the delivery of first class IT support for a demanding user base. The core focus of this role will be to provide both user and infrastructure support for the London office, along with helping to support the international offices. As part of a small but talented UK team, you will need to be comfortable working under your own initiative, and will need to deal with a diverse range of issues. You will need to answer calls and emails, log tickets, troubleshoot issues and provide solutions, all the while keeping the user informed and updated. This is a busy environment, so you will need to have your wits about you at all times, and will use your common sense and technical knowledge to manage and prioritise your workload.
You will also be responsible for the management and maintenance of the server infrastructure, so it is essential that you have experience working with Windows servers. You must have strong Active Directory skills, and experience working in a VMWare virtualized environment. The role will involve a degree of project work, and we are looking for people who are able to initiate projects and influence stakeholders. You will need to be proactive, and ready to make suggestions. You will also need excellent communication skills, along with the ambition, drive and initiative required to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record of commercial experience in an IT support role, ideally with a media/entertainment company, or similar consumer focused, creative business. In addition, we are looking for people who can clearly demonstrate the following;
- An in depth knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems (7, 2003, 2008. 2012), and ideally OSX.
- Experience managing Windows servers and the services they deliver, including DHCP, DNS, File, Group Policy, Active Directory Domain, WSUS, MDT, PowerShell.
- A strong knowledge of VMware and virtualised environments.
- An understanding of LAN networking theory and concepts.
- Ideally, experience with storage, network security and firewalls
In addition, you will need excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, the ability to manage your time and work on multiple projects simultaneously, and first class communication skills. Breadth of experience, a logical approach to problem solving and the ability to take ownership of issues through to a successful resolution is what we're looking for here.
