One of London's leading arts institutions is looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic IT Support Analyst to join their team and help to provide IT support for users across multiple locations.
With a first-class reputation and a forward thinking approach, this is a company that is going from strength to strength and as a result there is an increasing demand on the ever-busy IT department. This is an opportunity to be the face of IT, taking responsibility for issues and working them through to a successful resolution.
The core focus of the role will be to provide IT support for a user base of around 200 people, based across multiple sites. You will be the first point of contact for any technical problems, and will need to work with users at all levels of seniority and technical ability to understand issues, and then provide an appropriate solution. You will be dealing with a wide range of technical problems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, printers, phones, emails and mobile devices. It will mean a varied and constantly changing workload, and you will be expected to manage your time effectively to ensure the most important issues are prioritised.
In addition to your proven technical ability, it is absolutely critical that you have exceptional customer service skills. We are looking for people who are strong verbal and written communicators, who employ an empathetic approach to user problems and who have the emotional intelligence to understand the nuances of the different situations and personalities you will encounter. This is a demanding but highly rewarding work environment where you will need to be flexible and resourceful as you establish yourself as a key member of the team.
To be considered for this role you must have a proven track record in an IT Support role, ideally in an arts / culture / media environment or similar. In addition, you must be able to clearly demonstrate your experience with the following technologies;
- Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, and Microsoft desktop technologies.
- TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
- Patch management.
- Printers, peripherals, smartphones and tablets.
- Familiarity with Mac support.
You will also need a confident and natural communication style, first class problem solving and troubleshooting skills, the ability to build effective working relationships with users, and a flexible and committed approach to work.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, forward thinking company and play a crucial role in the provision of IT support to the business. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact Will Fraser at Handle Recruitment for more information.
