We are looking for an IT Support Analyst to join a London based professional services company, and take responsibility for the day to day running of all aspects of their IT.
This is a brand new role within the company; to date they have outsourced their IT to a third party, but due to company growth they are now looking to bring it in-house, and that's where this role comes in. It's a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in IT support to step into a position where they will be the sole person in charge of an IT function, so will have the chance to improve processes, influence decisions and deliver first rate user and infrastructure support.
The core focus of this role will be to provide in-house IT expertise to support the IT infrastructure and the user base. You will have full responsibility for all IT systems in a Microsoft based technical environment, and will also need to support a bespoke core business system. You will need to be able to take ownership of issues, and manage them through to resolution. It will be a broad role, where you will have a wide range of responsibilities, and will need to manage your time and your priorities effectively.
In addition to day to day support work, you will also be able to take responsibility for delivering IT projects. You will build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and with third party suppliers, and will have a real opportunity to make decisions and influence how things are done. You will need to be proactive in your approach, and confident in your ability to deliver.
To be considered for this role you will need a proven track record of commercial experience in an IT support role, and critically, you will need experience of, or the potential to work in, a stand-alone role, without a structured IT department around you. In terms of your technical skill set, you will need to be competent with the following;
- Windows operating systems and Windows servers
- Microsoft Office, O365 and Exchange
- Network devices (Cisco switches, firewalls)
- Phones, printers and video conferencing software
- Bespoke and industry standard software packages (HR, payroll, document management etc)
In addition we are looking for someone who is positive, proactive and enthusiastic, with great communication skills and the ability to make suggestions and influence decisions. This really is an opportunity to make the role your own, and would be a brilliant position for someone who wants to develop into IT management in the future.
If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you. Please contact Will Fraser at Handle Recruitment for more information.
