We are looking for someone who can take on the dual responsibilities of providing IT Support and Office Administration for a leading London based music business.
Working in a fast paced environment, you will play an integral role in the smooth running of the office from both an IT and an administration point of view. This is a great opportunity to join a successful, forward thinking company, and become an important part of the day to day operations of their busy London office.
There will be two core focuses to this role. Firstly, you will need to provide first and some second line support to the office. This will mean answering calls and emails, visiting users at their desks, and working to understand problems and work them through to a successful resolution. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the IT Manager on technical projects. It's a Microsoft environment, so you will need to know your way around Windows operating systems, Office and Active Directory, along with common desktop applications. You'll need to be comfortable installing and configuring software, and setting up new users.
Your second point of focus will be on office administration, and ensuring the smooth running of the office from a practical point of view. This will mean being the first point of contact for visitors, managing meeting rooms, dealing with suppliers and managing the post. This will require a positive approach, and clear and engaging communication style, and above all the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
To be considered for this role you must have a background in a support role, ideally including some IT support, ideally in a media / entertainment environment. This is effectively an entry level role from a technical point of view, so were not looking for experts, but you will need to know your way around the following;
- Microsoft Windows operating systems (7/8/10) and Office (2013/2016)
- Desktop hardware, and common desktop software applications
- Ideally, Active Directory, and some basic Windows server exposure
- Printers, phones and peripherals
In addition we are looking for someone who is comfortable with the day to day tasks of running a busy office. You will need strong communication skills as you will be meeting guests, and excellent time management and prioritisation skills. The role would suit someone with an office support background but an interest in IT, who is looking to grow their technical skill set but not lose the office administration skills. If this sounds of interest, please contact Will Fraser at Handle Recruitment for more information.
