A leading international music business is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to help provide first, second and some third line support in their busy London office.
Working for a forward thinking, innovative business, you will be tasked with supporting users in the London office as well as contributing to projects aimed at maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious company operating at the forefront of their industry, and become an integral part of their business critical IT team.
The core focus of this role will be to provide first class IT support to all users in the London office, along with supporting remote users as and when required. This will include first, second and some third line support. You will be working in a very fast paced environment with ever changing priorities, and will need to take ownership of problems, work quickly to troubleshoot issues and either provide fixes or escalate where appropriate. We are looking for people who are flexible and adaptable in their approach to work, who can understand the varying needs and requirements of the different users, and who possess first class problem solving skills and a highly logical approach to work.
In addition to your proven technical ability with Microsoft (and ideally Apple) technologies, it is absolutely critical that you have exceptional customer service skills. We are looking for people who are strong verbal and written communicators, who employ an empathetic approach to user problems and who have the emotional intelligence to understand the nuances of the different situations and personalities you will encounter. This is a demanding but highly rewarding work environment where you will need to be flexible and resourceful as you establish yourself as a key member of the team.
To be considered for this role you must have a proven track record of commercial experience in an IT Support role, along with an industry recognised IT qualification (MCP, MCITP, MCSE or equivalent). Ideally you will have worked in the media or entertainment industry, but we will happily consider experience in any sector as long as you have supported a diverse and demanding user base. Technically, we are looking for proficiency with the following;
- A thorough knowledge of Active Directory, including creating and administering Group Policies.
- Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Technology (2008 and above).
- Microsoft Office 2013/2016.
- Network and Firewall administration and troubleshooting
- Configuring Cisco Layer 3 switches
You will also need a confident and natural communication style, first class problem solving and troubleshooting skills, the ability to build effective working relationships with users, and a flexible and committed approach to work. Any exposure to VMWare, Office 365, MS Dynamics, Apple Mac / OSX support, Cisco switches and routers and VPNs would be highly beneficial.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, forward thinking company and play a crucial role in the provision of IT support to the business. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact Will Fraser at Handle Recruitment for more information.
