We are looking for an IT Support Engineer with knowledge of Windows and Mac technologies to join a market leading Publishing and Communications Agency based in London.
Working as part of a small IT team, you will be responsible for providing first and second line IT support in a busy, vibrant environment where no two days are ever the same. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious company who are well respected across the industry, and to build your career in IT support while learning and developing your technical skills.
The core focus of this role will be to provide first and second line support to users across the company, which will mean being the first point of contact for any technical issues. You will need to take ownership of problems, use your problem solving skills to troubleshoot them, and manage them through to a successful conclusion. You will be working in a busy environment, so will need to use your initiative to manage your workload and be proactive in your approach.
In addition to providing technical support for IT problems, you will also contribute to the everyday running of a busy IT department. This will mean setting up new users, changing permissions on Active Directory, fixing printer problems, and working on a variety of projects to upgrade and improve the IT infrastructure. You will need to be able to multitask effectively, and to build strong working relationships with colleagues. We are looking for people with strong customer service skills, who ideally have worked in a structured service desk environment.
To be considered for this role you must have a proven record of commercial experience (or a university placement) in an IT Support role, ideally in the media or creative industry. You will also need demonstrable experience with the following;
- Microsoft Windows desktop and server technologies.
- Apple Mac OS (El-Capitan, Sierra).
- Active Directory.
- Office 365.
- Adobe Creative Cloud.
In addition, experience with Google G-suite, Windows deployment, basic networking, desktop rollouts and Exchange would be highly beneficial. We will also be looking for people with a positive and proactive approach to work, and a customer service focus. You will need strong communication skills, the ability to learn quickly and use your initiative, and ideally some knowledge of ITIL.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a company at the top of their game, and play a vital role in helping with the delivery of a first class IT service across the business.
