Kitchen Administration Manager - Sport / Events Services

Handle Recruitment is working with the official provider of match day hospitality and conference and banqueting facilities within a world renowned sports venue to find a Kitchen Administration Manager to provide an efficient and effective support service in respect of all administration.

Reporting to the Head Chef, key features will include:

  • Inputting all Kitchen purchases, transfers and current stock levels into the weekly summary on time
  • Creating and maintaining both Event day and Non-event day forecasts and planners
  • Booking staff according to function/event and in line with budgets and direction from line manager
  • Responsible for health and safety, including all accidents and near misses
  • Keep annual leave and sickness records for payroll purposes for the team
  • Informing HR Manager of any sickness/absence within the department
  • Ensuring all HR paperwork is completed adhering to legislation at all times
  • Making the HR Manager aware of any trends in absence
  • Completing schedule of movements for department
  • Scanning, emailing, sending expenses records for the team to HR Department
  • Keeping central invoices records
  • Arranging for letterheads, business cards etc to be printed for team members
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with calls in a polite and professional manner
  • Maintaining a comprehensive filing system
  • Creating reports and presentations upon request
  • Attending meetings and being a note taker
  • Undertaking adhoc projects or work in other areas as required

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role. A sound background within catering and food service, ideally
  • Excellent communication and the flexibility to adapt depending on the audience and circumstances
  • Adaptable and willing as well as passionate and hardworking.
  • Proven track record in planning, organisation and time management, working to strict pressured deadlines
  • Assertive, calm and works well under pressure
  • Experience of working in environments involving high levels of customer care
  • Self-motivated with ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Passionate about delivering a word class service
  • An interest in HR is desirable
