The design studio is now looking for an experienced Branding Designer to lead and build up their branding and visual identity offering, working into the Head of Design. The vision is that as the offering develops there will be the opportunity to organically grow your own small branding team.
You will be expected to help create systematic experiences, visual solutions, and brand stories, always with a human-centric design approach.
You will be expected to manage and mentor talent, making sure designers have the support they need to do great work.
You will also need to be hands-on; a perfectionist, driven and motivated
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create brand identities, systems and narratives grounded in strategic thinking.
Create digital products and services which work across multiple channels.
Lead and ensure the overall quality of the creative design output across projects.
Seamlessly merge strategy, copy and design into a cohesive brand or systematic experience.
Ability to execute 360º brand design thinking.
Owns craft and capability output across multiple work streams, ensuring deliverables are of the highest quality.
Has a holistic understanding and ability to assess the changing landscape of design.
Partner with the wider design team, strategy, creative, UX, and production to ensure project objectives are met.
Ability to build up a team of world class designers.
Leads, empowers and mentors teams.
Partner with producers to scope and define project approach, timelines and deliverables.
Has a proactive, resourceful approach with some management skills.
Leads brief and idea conception, ensuring ideas are grounded in strategy.
Articulates creative decisions and rationale with confidence.
Communicates effectively in verbal or written form.
Identifies creative opportunities for business growth.
Advocates unorthodox thinking, with no fear of innovation.
Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals, methodologies and techniques.7+ years agency or similar experience.
Experience leading teams.
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and Sketch.
Motion design experience is a bonus.
