Job Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, this newly created role is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial/IP lawyer to join one of the internet's fastest-growing media start-ups.

If successful, you will find yourself working in partnership with and providing legal advice across the entire business, with responsibilities to include drafting and reviewing general T&Cs, Advertising, and other contracts, NDAs, Data Protection, a variety of IP matters (including Licensing), and improving and implementing template agreements - amongst many others. As far as opportunities go for junior lawyers wanting to work in a commercial, media environment, but not wanting to narrow their focus too much at an early stage of their career, this is about as broad a role as you could imagine.

Much more information will made available upon request by suitable candidates.

To be considered, you should have c.0-2 PQE*, preferably having trained in a media law firm or have some in-house experience in a similar environment (internet, media, technology). Commercial drafting experience is required, with a strong preference shown to candidates with a solid foundation in IP law. This is a global business, so you should also be culturally sensitive enough to work with people from a variety of backgrounds. This is a fast-paced, creative environment, so the ideal candidate will have the capacity to think on their feet and confidence to advise internal clients from across the business.

*NB: PQE levels are offered as a guide only. Our clients will accept applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are unable to respond to everyone. If you have not heard from us within 5 working days of sending your CV then unfortunately you have not been shortlisted for the position you have applied for.
