Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director you will work with the business to maximize profitability and minimize cost without compromising quality.

The role will principally include the below tasks, although, as with any growing company, you will be expected to take on additional varied actions as required:

  • Managing and controlling of the purchase & sales ledger process
  • Responsible for all balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Manage fixed asset listing and depreciation schedule related entries
  • Assist with the implementation of a new Royalties / Rights Management System
  • Reporting on licensing, royalties and third party payments on a regular basis, to ensure that royalties are paid in line with agreements
  • Manage incoming agent quarterly royalty reporting, including review of statements against contracts for all licensees to ensure accuracy of reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of management reporting packs and the management of the accounting process
  • Assist with the revenue forecast and work on the improvement models projecting future revenues
  • Assistance in consolidation process
  • Assistance with year-end audit process

Skill Set

  • Qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience gained within a media organization would be highly preferable with a knowledge of Royalties
  • Ideally, experience of Sage and QuickBooks accounting systems
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge others, supporting and troubleshooting
  • Confident character who is highly organized and able to use their initiative in a variety of situations
  • Strong analytical skills
