Management Accountant - TV/Entertainment - Central London

12 Month contract, 4 days per week at £32K max.

My client, a leading production company based in Central London are looking for a Part Qualified Management Accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract role. This Management Accountant will work beside the Financial Director being responsible for the Management Accounts and day to day running of the finance function

Please note: This is currently a 12 month contract based on a 4-day working week and will likely be made permanent after the 12 month period.

This role will be working part from home and part from the office starting in August.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices, managing the Accounts inbox and weekly pay run;
  • Processing expenses and expense claims;
  • Petty cash managing, monitoring and reconciliation;
  • Credit cards managing, monitoring, reconciliation;
  • Monitoring the spend by the development team;
  • Month end journal posting;
  • Working with the bookkeeper to ensure that all Sage postings are corrected posted;
  • Monthly cash review;
  • Balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Month end close of all entities;
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT MTD returns;
  • Assisting in preparing statutory accounts and dealing with audit queries;
  • Assisting in ad hoc projects / issues where required;
  • Resolving queries raised by the business, the suppliers and by Production Teams
  • Being an accounting resource for the Production Teams, as required;
  • Recommend changes to improve efficiency in processes through to implementation of the changes
  • Being able to manage and troubleshoot payment / invoice issues;

Key skills:

  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant
  • Experience within a similar role including management accounts and VAT
  • Understand the requirements of statutory reporting and how to prepare statutory accounts
  • A background within Media/Entertainment is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player, with a hands on work approach
  • Strong proficiency in Excel required
  • Happy to get stuck in with all aspects of finance
  • A confident business partner
  • A keen interest/passion for TV/Entertainment
