Management Accountant - Music Technology - London

A part qualified Management Accountant is required for our client within the Music Technology industry. This Management Accountant will be responsible for ensuring a smooth running of the finance function including the month end close, statutory audit and tax returns.

The ideal candidate for this role will have 3 years+ experience working as part of a finance function, with the ability to adapt to fast paced environments and a vibrant work place. This role offers a range of company benefits including flexible working.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out day-to-day accounting with respect to AR ledger and month end reconciliation process
  • Play a key role in completing tasks for the month end close including posting accruals and prepayments
  • Oversee the daily automation process of B2C revenue transactions and make manual adjustments as and when necessary to ensure tidy and complete accounting
  • Manage relationships with B2B customers - providing statements and chasing outstanding balances
  • Reconciliations of key accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide weekly AR receipt forecasting to support cash management
  • Issue credits related to Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMAs) as well as Sales and Marketing promotions
  • Reconcile monthly subscription revenue
  • Calculate costs of monthly royalties and carry out reconciliation
  • Support Finance Manager and assist the wider Finance Team with other finance tasks as needed
  • Understand GDPR compliance in relation to Finance Checklist
  • Review processes,make recommendations for improvements, and implement where appropriate

Key skills:

  • At least 3 years experience working within a Finance function
  • Previous exposure to AR and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Having used Netsuite previously would be advantageous
  • Proficient IT skills including MS Excel
  • Experience with month end is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritise work load
  • An interest in Music/Entertainment is a bonus
